Lunar New Year’s Shopping Festival of Longshan County kicks off

The first Village Collective Economy Agricultural Product Fair as well as the Lunar New Year’s Shopping Festival of Longshan County kicked off on January 31.

At the entrance, citizens gathered around dolls dressed in the clothing of the God of Wealth to feel the auspicious atmosphere of Chinese Lunar New Year. On the left booth, a citizen wrote Spring Festival couplets for on-site people for free to send blessings. In front of the booth on the right, sweet dumplings with different fillings were being made, attracting many viewers offline and online. Characteristic products from collective economic cooperatives in various towns and villages were fully displayed, such as Longshan Lily, preserved meat, navel oranges, kudzu powder, and Wulong Mountain Tea.

The heads of collective economic cooperatives introduced their own products, allowing citizens to know about the good specialties in different towns and villages of Longshan County. “This is the first time that I have known about so many good products in Longshan. After the Spring Festival holiday, I will take some to my colleagues,” said Ms. Xiang, who works outside and has returned to her hometown for the coming Chinese New Year, adding that this festival let her know a different Longshan.

In addition, there were also various wonderful programs like Tujia gongs and drums, and Tujia songs, winning rapturous applause.

The Lunar New Year’s Shopping Festival has built a supply and marketing platform that is more in line with market changes, market needs, and people’s demand.
